ABOUT US

Northwest Flight Service is locally owned and operated by aviation enthusiasts. We began operations at Spokane International Airport in 2012 and relocated to Felts Field in 2015. Our mission is to provide exceptional training and services that emphasize safety and quality, supporting individuals at every stage of their aviation journey.

Our fleet features Cirrus SR20s and Cessna 172s, and we are proud to be an award-winning Cirrus Authorized Platinum Training Center. Our team of skilled instructors offers comprehensive training programs, including Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certified Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII).

In addition to flight training, our maintenance department consists of a team of factory-trained mechanics who provide on-demand maintenance services for our flight school aircraft as well as a wide range of customer-owned single and multi-engine piston aircraft. Our maintenance department upholds the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability.

  • Instrument Ground School

    Dates: TBA - Please Contact Us

    Take your flying to the next level with our Instrument Ground School! This accelerated course is designed to lay the foundations of your instrument rating and set you up to pass the written test. Space is limited. Call us to sign up!

  • Youth Aviation Camp

    Youth Aviation Camps are experiences designed to inspire the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals!

    📅 Camp Dates (Choose One):
    • Ages 8–11: Saturday, June 28 or Saturday, August 2
    • Ages 12–15: Saturday, July 19 or Saturday, August 16

    🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    💵 Cost: $150 per person

    Highlights:
    ✈️ Intro to airplanes & how they work
    👨‍✈️ Learn about careers in aviation
    🛩️ Guided preflight tour of a Cirrus SR20
    🎮 Hands-on time in a Cirrus flight simulator
